The historic center of Campiglia, whose existence has been documented starting from the 11th century, constitutes, as a whole, a complex of monumental interest, with the 12th century fortress, the Parish Church of San Giovanni and the famous bas-relief of Meleager, the Parish church of San Lorenzo which houses precious works of art, and to which is annexed the Museum of Sacred Art, the Praetorian Palace with the coats of arms of the Captains, now home to the Children's Library and the Historical Archive, the nineteenth-century Theater dei Concordi which hosts an appreciated billboard; finally an urban fabric where the structures of the medieval tower houses can be clearly read in the subsequent stratification of interventions that led to the current urban architectural structure.
